This is a programme of lectures, tutorials, workshops and, where feasible and practicable, a follow-up project in expert systems. SoJOURN is specially designed for organisations involved in AI research and development, including educational organisations, aerospace, software engineering, and electronics. SoJOURN is one of the approved courses by the Engineering Industries Training Board (EITB) and was awarded an EITB starter grant of £10,000.

The programme has been run for a number of participating organisations. The usual venue of SoJOURN is Guildford, but it has also been conducted in Australia and Denmark.
