The project aims to exploit the achievements of MULTILEX particularly in the area of dictionary publishing. The exploitation will also include supplementing the existing standardised linguistic and computational description with information relevant to the publication of the contents of a lexical database either through the print medium or electronic media. The necessary and relevant information will comprise mark-up data with each lexical item for exchange across word processing and desktop publishing systems.
The MULTILEX standard is being used to convert an existing dictionary, Dictionnaires Le Robert, into a functional hypertext system.
