Situated just 30 minutes from London, Guildford is a lively and attractive town
with a long history. The University's modern campus is overlooked by Guildford
cathedral and is close to the attractive town centre, which dates back to Saxon
times. The town enjoys excellent rail links with London and the South coast,

airport is also accessible by rail. Guildford boasts numerous historic buildings,
including a Norman castle and the famous 17th century Guildhall, as well as
excellent leisure and sporting facilities, a multi-screen cinema and a professional
theatre. The town offers outstanding shopping and a wealth of restaurants, pubs
and cafes. The beautiful surrounding countryside boasts many traditional English
villages with tea-shops, old churches and village greens.
